Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Rachel- the creator of The Happy Craft Collective.
Ever since I was little, I've loved creating. I grew up spending hours outside making "forts", collecting sticks and leaves, creating tiny "potions", and turning every-day things into art and imagination-filled adventures. That love for hands-on creativity and connection to nature has stayed with me into adulthood. I mean it when I say that crafting, creating, and exploring the outdoors are still my favorite parts of life!
Over the years, I've worked with children in many different settings. Most recently I have supported children and families in pediatric healthcare as a social worker, but I also have a background nannying, teaching dance classes, and volunteering in an elementary school. With a background in psychology and social work, I deeply value the emotional and social development needs of children and believe every child deserves a space where they feel, safe, supported, and free to express their creativity.
I created The Happy Craft Collective to bring all of these passions together- creativity, nature, hands-on learning, emotional growth, movement, imagination, and community. In a world that feels increasingly fast-paced and screen-focused, I want children to have opportunities to create with their hands, explore their ideas, connect with others, and appreciate the world around them through process based crafting, STEAM, and playful experiences.
